Landslide, 60 people buried


Landslides struck the region Pasirjambu District, Ciwidey, Bandung regency, West Java, on Tuesday (23 / 2) morning. About 60 residents living around the plantation of the Gods, Village District Tenjolaya Pasirjambu, reportedly buried by avalanches, and four of which are found in a state of death.

"The four victims, three adults and a child," Bandung police chief said, AKBP Imran Yunus, while in the location of landslides, Pasirjambu. According to the police chief, while the number of victims who reported as many as 60 people are buried in the earth avalanches originating from the hill above the township residents. Landslide events that occurred around 08:00 pm, had accumulated about 30 houses.

The news of this landslide disaster only be known during the day, considering kejadiran location is 60 km from the city of Bandung, and needed three hours drive from Kota district, Pasirjambu. Until the news is structured, the SAR team is still reviewing the evacuation, to search for buried victims. The team also encountered difficulties, given the location of landslides in the tea plantation area, with terrain that is quite heavy.
